2.5. We may need to use system permissions on your device (excluding permissions accessed by third parties) to collect relevant personal information. Although we have already covered this in previous sections, this section will summarize all the system permissions used by Sugarup to provide you with a more systematic, complete, and transparent overview. You can choose whether to authorize us to use the relevant permissions on your device. If you do not authorize us to use these permissions, some services may become unavailable, but this will not affect your use of other Sugarup functions.

Photo album and storage permissions

Once you agree to grant this permission, we will use your device's photo album reading and storage functions. This function will be used to upload text, images, videos, and other content from your device, and may also cache text, images, and videos generated while using the Sugarup service. Please note that we will not automatically read the stored content of your local photo album; we will only obtain image/video data after you agree to grant this permission and actively select the corresponding image from your album. If you refuse this authorization, the aforementioned functions will not function properly.

Camera permissions

Once you grant this permission, we will use the camera function on your device. This function will be used to take photos, record videos, and collect and identify the images and videos taken or recorded during the process. If you refuse this authorization, the aforementioned functions will not be available.

Microphone permissions

Once you grant this permission, we will use your device's microphone and recognize your uploaded voice messages. This permission will be used to enable voice input and to collect and recognize the voice messages input during the process. If you refuse this permission, the aforementioned functions will be unavailable.

Message push permissions

Once you grant this permission, we will send you push notifications so you can receive and be aware of our messages promptly. If you refuse this permission, you will not be able to receive any push notifications from us.

Floating window permission

In order to make the "Party" content float over other content, we will request your floating window permission. If you refuse this permission, the above function will not be possible.

Device information access permissions

Once you agree to grant this permission, we will collect your device information to protect your account and login security. This information is used to optimize user experience, conduct security checks, identify frequently used devices, and check device binding status. If you are an Android user, refusing this authorization will prevent you from using this product and/or service normally. If you are an iOS user, due to iOS system limitations, you may not be able to directly refuse or disable the above authorization. However, for certain device information (e.g., IDFA information, subject to the actual situation as iOS system policies are updated from time to time), you can choose whether to authorize us to collect it. If you refuse authorization, we may not be able to provide you with the corresponding functions or services (e.g., if you refuse our collection of your IDFA information, we will not be able to provide you with personalized displays based on IDFA tracking identifiers).

Access to the network and permission to obtain network status

Once you grant this permission, our app will be able to connect to the internet. Additionally, for risk control and service provision purposes, we can monitor network changes and alert users to the current network environment. Refusing this permission will prevent you from using this product and/or service normally.

3. For what purposes do we use your personal data?

We collect your personal data and other information to provide a safe, high-quality, and personalized user experience for every service user. We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Publish your user profile and interest-based discoveries. Social platforms mean you can connect with other users. We will process your data into a unique user profile that will be visible to other users, platform visitors, and some search engine users. Users can control the information in their profiles and choose whether to display their profiles in public search results (via settings). We may use the interests, tags, and preferences you provide to help you connect with relevant users based on shared interests and community background.

We are committed to improving and developing matching results, technology, and other features. We focus on increasing the success rate of our matches. The more detailed the user information we have, the more accurate and successful our matching results will be.

We improve platform functionality by analyzing and interpreting user statistics. We are happy to use new technologies to improve and update our products and services.

Advertising. Advertising enables us to provide you with richer content on our service. Some of our ads are based on page content you browse elsewhere on the internet (i.e., online behavioral advertising). We believe these personalized ads are more relevant to you and therefore more engaging. We and our partners (including Facebook and Google) use your personal data to personalize ads and may even show them to you at appropriate times. For example, if you have our app installed, you may see ads for our products in your Facebook feed. How to opt out or influence personalized ads: iOS: On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, tap Privacy, tap Advertising, and select Limit Ad Tracking. You can also reset your advertising identifier in the same section (this also helps reduce the personalized ads you see). Android: To opt out of ads on your Android device, simply open the Google Settings app on your phone, tap Advertising, and enable Opt Out of Interest-Based Advertising. You can also reset your advertising identifier in the same section (this also helps reduce the personalized ads you see).

We conduct general membership management and provide paid services. This refers to any necessary actions taken to ensure the quality of service provided to users. We use information to provide you with personalized services, such as choosing your available payment methods, determining your eligibility for promotions, and showing you personalized advertisements. Some data we receive may be considered "sensitive data" due to its nature.
